“I am delighted to welcome you to Arnold Academy. Situated on the outskirts of Barton-le-Clay, our thriving, friendly and successful school is recognised as providing an excellent all round education for our pupils in a caring and safe environment."

"Our academy is built on the foundation of a strong community, underpinned by positive relationships and shared values. This lies at the core of all that we do. We aim to provide the best teaching for our pupils, delivered through an exciting and challenging curriculum. In this way, we aim to ensure that every pupil will leave Arnold having enjoyed their experience, developed as a person and reached their full potential.
I hope that our website gives you a flavour of life at Arnold Academy and an idea of what we can offer you and your child. However, the best way to find out more is by paying us a visit and meeting some of our wonderful pupils and staff. You will always be made welcome.”

Consultation on Forming a Multi Academy Trust

Our school and other schools in the local area have worked together closely for over eleven years as part of the Harlington Area Schools Trust (HAST). This collaborative relationship has helped make our locality the strongest performing group of schools in Central Bedfordshire. Over the past two years, we have been discussing ways of improving even further and this led to discussions around forming a multi academy trust.

The governing bodies of five schools have committed (in principle) to form a multi academy trust, initially consisting of Harlington Upper School, Arnold Academy, Parkfields Middle School, Ramsey Manor Lower School and Westoning Lower School. Over time, other schools in HAST have also stated an intention to join the new organisation.

Our governing body, therefore, is consulting on whether to join a newly forming Multi Academy Trust (MAT), with the four schools named previously. The intended date for the Trust to form is 1st April 2020. The consultation is open to all, including the school’s parents, pupils, staff and the wider community. There is a link to some general information below; the vision and values of the proposed Trust and the answers to some ‘frequently asked questions’. There will also be two consultation events, at Parkfields Middle School on Tuesday 4th February at 6.30pm and at Arnold Academy on Wednesday 5th February at 4.00pm.

We want to hear your views, which the Governing Body will take into account when making its final decision. If you would like to comment on this proposal, or if you have any suggestions or observations you would like to make, please email or send a letter in a sealed envelope for the attention of Mrs L Wilson, MAT Consultation at Arnold Academy.  The consultation period will end on 28th February 2020.
